Lifted the cab to patch what I thought was only two rust holes in the floor.

The more I removed the undercoating with the wirewheel, the more thin spots I found. The wirewheel would eat through. The plan is to wirewheel the entire surface under the cab, patch all rust, prime and roll on bed liner. I also cleaned and detailed the engine.

I'm running a w58 from a 84 celica. Shifter lines up perfectly after lightly massaging the passenger side fire wall to clear the head/valvecover. I wanted the engine as far back as possible so the sc400 oil pan would clear the draglink but still be able to use the stock trany mount. I still had to remove the steering stabilizer shock. The shifter on the 86+ supra sits further back towards the driveshaft.

One more note. The toyota 4.7 tundra headers from ebay are nice and fit the 1uz perfectly but they will not clear the upper control arms on the truck.

Both sides sit right on the UCA's.
MUST use the sc400 oem manifolds or have custome headers fabbed.

YES!!! Found a guy parting out a 92 sc400 on CL. Got the exhaust manifolds I needed. They are the ones to get to do this swap.

    Also finished patching the floor.

Gonna bedline the bottom this weekend.

Gonna start the exhaust while the cab is off. Decide to just tie into the existing 2.5" turbo exhaust since it was fabbed nice to clear the torsion rods. The gas tank makes a nice dual setup impossible anyway.

    Things will start moving now.

    Coated the underside with Herculiner.

Bought an undercoating spray gun and sprayed the bedliner coating on. Herculiner is suspended in Xylene and will get you higher than a MAW FUKKA. I'm sure spraying it made the fumes worse than rolling it on.

If I could do it over, I'd get the Raptor bedliner coating. It's not as rough as the herculiner and doesn't trap dirt, which is better for the interior. I'm gonna put carpet on the floor anyway. I will def use raptor liner on the bed.

Nice man... good progress does the liner aid in sound deadening?

also surprised you havent swapped in a sr5 cluster yet...

I think it adds some sound deadening quality opposed to a bare sheetmetal floor but not as much as the oem applied material.

I was never pressed to get the SR5 cluster but I'll do it now. The 1uz tach output is like a 4 cylinder signal, so it will work fine with a 22re tach cluster.

Thanks for the comment. No need to apologise for stealing my style, I see it as a compliment. I dont know the year of the rodeo/passport. I only know that it is from the first gen. Keep in mind, there are two or three different style valances.

The rodeo valances look more agrgessive.
