    ^Thanks

    Standard,
You will not regret extra cylinders. I dont know the gear count I have but it must be tall. I have cruised around at 45 mph in third thinking I was in 4th many times.

    Burnz,
Thanks to you too. Have you considered swapping in a supra lsd in your setup? It seems that half of the MA70 supras I see in the junkyards have LSD. I always check the supras with headlight squirters and TEMS. They always have LSD whether manual or auto.

^Working on it! Saturday I tried to get a vid of a drag race between my truck and the 1uz supra on my Iphone to post.for some reason, the phone would not captures the first few seconds of the race. The launch is the best/funniest part. It happened both times I tried.

So who won? specs alone id think yours. Supras are really heavy, even the 2nd gens. I had one, had to get back into a truck. I'm just not a car guy. And ill be adding more cylinders for sure. Just stuck on how many I wanna add

You will love it. I would suggest that you spend the extra 700-800 bucks for the 5 speed conversion. The auto drains so much power. The 5 speed has a 25-30 hp advantage and that's real.
    Thanks man
The supra wins from a dig. It launches so much better. I mean by the top of second, he has a 3-4 car lead on me. Any thing over 1/2 throttle in 1st or 2nd lead to tire spin. I can cruise in second at around 30 mph, mash the throttle and smoke the tires. It's even spun the tires in 3rd at WOT when merging on the highway.
We did a 4th gear pull on the highway from 50 to 90 in the truck and supra. I will pull on the supra but the truck gets scary close to 100 mph.

I'll get vids up by the weekend.
    Carwash shot.

That's sounding pretty fun though. That IRS works wonders for planting the power. I've seen some ingenious ways to bolt them up. Can post pics if ya care. I thought you're going 8.8 with wide tires tho.

How is the IRS holding up in your buddies supra? I wanna use one.

I am going ford 8.8 but I'd still love to see pics of the IRS work. Love to see fabrication stuff all the time (big fan of American Chopper and other shows like that).
The IRS is holding up fine in his supra. the stock 1uz isn't gonna hurt that. Now I have some friends in Maryland that are running 600+ hp mk3 supras and that's a DIFFERENT STORY. Their subframes look like mini roll cages after all the reinforcemnet work done to them.

I only have 2 pics saved to my phone of this swap. Basically he moved the middle areas closer together and made a few tabs to bolt it on. It was posted by a member here a few months back I anybody can find it. Was a 89-95 style truck.

Here's another pic. I have tons of various IRS swaps in progress an the subframes themselves.

Has anybody seen a subframe for supras that replaces the stock one? Otherwise ill have to build my own when I get one. The look seems heavier than needed and not as strong as it could be. Something tubular might be better. Pics of those built up ones would be cool to see.

I saw that! It's def the design I plan to follow when I decide to commit this truck to strictly street duty and no hauling. It looks good and simple. I plan on cutting that middle section from a frame in the junkyard soon for the future project. It seems I could first weld in the 2x4 crossbeams and the pieces of sectioned frame to use them as a jig to keep the frame straight. Then section my frame to clear the upper arms and add the gussets.
This is on hold while my truck performs truck duties but I am looking for the right and cheap toyota T100 for hauling duties. I will probably do a 1uz swap in that also. Should be much easier.

I think those pics are from the fiberglass guy's build from canada.

They're actually from some new guy. I bumped his post asking for more pics. I know of slackers build, have a bunch of those pics saved too.

And I did some research on mk3 subframe bracing. Seems like most guys have issues near where the diff bolts in. I'm have some ideas how to make a better subframe, but I need to get my hands on one first to take some measurements and look at things.

One more thing. My drive shaft was too short. It was like that when I bought it but I ran it anyway since I had zero luck finding one in the junkyard that wasn't bent. The damn fork trucks would bent them when they lifted the truck. When I swapped the motor in, I had to mount it about an inch forward to make the heads clear the firewall. This pulled the trans forward and made my driveshaft issue worse. I did not want to spend big cash on a custom drive shaft only to have to spend again when I put in the ford 8.8. I found a cheap solution at Low Offroad.

Simple but effective. My shaft is too long. Lowering the back so much shoved it into my trans. Not sure if that's why my first trans blew up or not lol.

Low range off-road is an awesome place for some toyota parts.. I just bought a gm alternator bracket kit from them that was $10 cheaper then LC! Only downside is they don't have as much stuff as lc..

Your truck is badass! Your going to have way to much fun when/if you get LSD.. burnouts for days!

My diff's face was too far forward, made my rear end push backwards a little bit. Got it shortened so now it clears better without pushing the driveshaft forward.
