Got alot done in this past 2 or so months. Rims are done, alarm and system is installed (I need to make a new sub box so I can get the rear seat in), some interior pieces painted...
Thanks! For now, thats about as low as Im gonna go. In the future I might do a 2 pump hydraulic setup to lay frame, but that will be after I get alot done to my 85 xtra cab yota.
So its been awhile since ive added updates. I converted the truck to tilt steering, power mirrors and windows. I installed the 1 piece molded door panels and still kept the vent windows. I also discovered the front frame is a little tweeked, so I bought a front clip and...
Setting it up on 20" steelies, 225/35/20 tires, and mk3 supra spindles! The ball joints on the upper cando arms were binding, so I cut them and re angled the bj (Thanks Bernie)! Mocking the 8" cylinder and getting measurements!
I will have more pics tonight. I have to turn the clip over and finish up some welding. Also I have to weld in lower gussets for the cylinder mounts.
I rearended someone while out of town... its not as bad as it looks. After the accident, I drove 2hrs back to my house. I got something sick brewing!
I guess I can post an update. I've had a weak valve spring for the longest. I would have to adjust it atleast twice a month. I finally got tired of adjusting it so I purchased oversized valves and street performer valve springs from LCE. I'm in the process of removing the cylinder head (been working like crazy so I don't have a lot of time). Once I'm done with this work rotation, I will get back to the suspension so hopefully I can have it done and drive it to Layed Out at the Park!
Thats crazy! I saw a 89-95 pickup with the same style cab and I was like "WTF???" I thought it was just some guys coo coo idea but I guess there was more than one. Haha!
