when I do get my subs in.. its going to be removable. so everytime I go inside my house.... i bring it in and i'm serious about that.
just dont pound them in your neighborhood and keep things hidden. stay off the radar of ripoffs. dont brag to buddies about things inside the truck. just act like its a truck to cruise in.
Sorry to hear you got jacked! Happenned to my old 85 4x4 20+ years ago, they just used a screwdriver to pop the lock out of the door and then just a twist and its unlocked, stole my speaker boxes and 30 cassette tapes... yes cassette, like I said 20+ yrs ago... still annoyes me to think about... anyway I would have given you that side window I have one that was for a truck I dont own anymore... if your going back to the Upull it soon pick me up some shackles!
gosh damn dude you have been robbed and sh!t on alot in the past few months. rediculous! Get a alarm and move to oklahoma or something in the country. Sorry again for your loss.
Also the good news is that, since your truck got hit, they probably won't be back for some time. Unless they are dumb as$es.
if they do come back, lets hope they have my camera too. I'll beat their asses down, hard. I'm just gunna join the airforce. What's a good Viper alarm system? I'm thinking about getting the Viper responder 350 2 way system. its nice and all, keyless entry, BUT WTF. I dont have power doors or windows! hahaha
They aint hiring, so good luck with that. I always thought an air horn that would blast, instead of an alarm horn, would scare the poop out of anyone who set it off.
And cops wonder why people don't like them..... My buddy just installed a Viper 350OHV in my truck. It doesn't have the 2-way, tho. And like jctoy said, they use actuators for the locks.
I have a Sytek alarm in mine and have been very happy with it, has worked flawlessly for a couple years now. It has a bunch of features and can be programmed to operate several ways, some of the features I don't use like the auto start, timers ect. I did install power windows and door locks in mine and the alarm when activated rolls up the windows, and locks the doors, if its sitting in the sun it has a temp probe that if it gets above 100 degrees the windows will drop about an inch until the temp drops then roll back up, has a remote key fob with pager that warns if something activates the sensors, you can also roll the windows down or turn on the lights from the key fob, its pretty cool setup but a wiring challenge
