I'll check out that option. Your swap is gonna prove to be alot more difficult then mine. I want it real simple. Carburated, cleaned up, painted, polished accessories. I hate wiring so I'm staying away from fuel injection lol

Actually, mine won't be too complicated. I will be installing everything out a truck into my truck, just like if my truck was a Silverado. I am going to get the engine, tranny, wiring harness, ecm, and fuel tank. Mount the ecm under the dash, mount the motor and tranny, tank, hook everything up. Just that simple...

Well as long as you already have everything there. I'm starting from just a short block. I considered putting in an lt1 in from a trans am I parted out around a year ago, but my dad wants it for my moms Camaro. Has a 350 in it but it smokes and won't pass smog. Plus it'll be sweet to open up the hood of my Toy and see a big blower on a sexy polished 4 barrel Edelbrock ^_^

It will look good, but I think it'll be just as sexy, if not sexier to see a bodydropped to the rockers 'Yota laying on some billet 20s and look under the hood and see a Corvette or GTO motor!

BTW, got my rear bag brackets welded in today before work. Should have rear completed as far as fourlink and bags this weekend. Then, build a cage for my gas tank and figure where I'll mount my battery and air tanks and the back will be done, then on to the front hopefully next weekend.

alright... Everything on the back of my truck has be cut back off, and started over. I thought I was doing good. Used measurements off the notches, and now my bag brackets are screwed up. I will be cleaning my frame rails off free of everything that was there when I got the truck. I will be cutting everything off my axle and starting from scratch. I may actually see if I can find an older model rear end and start over with it.

I swear, it's take one step forward and two steps back.

After I got my gussets in yesterday, I cycled the suspension and I my driver side bag bottoms out about 2 inches before my passenger side bag does. This sucks. I need to find a plasma cutter!

I know. This is the 5th trcuk I've bagged by myself. I guess the fact of it being done when I got it, and me having to redo it made me think I could rush through it. It's my own fault.

I know. Hopefully I will be able to just cut the one side off and re-do it. We'll see...

I got a little kick in the throat yesterday to keep me from working on it for a while. My wife went to pick up my daughter yesterday, and a guy my wife somewhat grew up with, knocked her down, took her keys and phone, and stole her truck. So now I got to replace a bunch of personal property and a truck. I hope the cops find the bastard and fry his ass.

But the build must go on. As soon as I get some free time, I am going to try and cut the one side bag brackets off, and cut my upper bars off and re-do those things. Hopefully that will solve my problem. I will be trying to build a three link. I located my lower bars a little too far in from the frame, so i don't have a lot of room for my bag mounts, and I can straighten my upper bars out a little bit, so I will be trying to build a wishbone out of my two upper link bars. We will see how it all works out!

Sorry this happened to your wife, especially by someone you know!! If the authorities can not or do nothing ,you know who this ass hole is . So just wait a while & arrange some pay back----with no links back to you!!
If some one I knew did this to my wife---------------there would be a accident in the news!!!
Not saying it's right ,but no one get's away with this if I know them!!! :(

He won't get away with it. Too much money will be lost for me to brush it off. Plus he touched my wife, which put it over the top. It may not happen tomorrow or next week, but it will happen! He will think I've forgotten, and then I'll find the bastard!

I'm at a cross roads whether I want to go ahead and bodydrop it now, or wait. I want to go ahead, but I know if I wait, it'll be forever before I get it done. But if I wait, then I'll be kicking myself in the ass for not going ahead and doing it.

BTW... Bought me an LSx motor this weekend.. I got my hands on a truck 5.3 with 115k miles for the cheap. I already have a T5 from a 96 Cobra which will work. Now I have to find an
    LS1 Intake and fuel rails
    Corvette oil pan
    Corvette Stock manifolds
    custom Wiring Harness
Mustang pedal assembly with cable for clutch

I will have to build motor mounts
    Trans x-member

All this should fit under the stock hood even with a 3 inch bodydrop!

probably leaning that way.. Thinking about going ahead and pulling motor. Sell it and tranny to make a couple hundred bucks for metal for bodydrop and some other small things. Maybe next season, I can take at least a rolling chassis to a few shows!

I've actually found a guy on ebay and a guy on craigslist that will custom build me a harness for about half of the price of a painless. He gives a warranty, and can even make it up to where it will plug into my stock Toyota gauge cluster, which is a big plus. He gives me the option of a manual trans, auto trans, and if I got auto, whether I am using an E trans or older mechanical trans...

He has told me about plenty he's done and give me links and number for his customers, so I can ask about references. Thanks for the heads up though. I have a lot of buddies, including my brother who say they doubt I'll do it or finish it. So I am very determined to make it all work out.
