nah get some extra cabs running 5inhc blocks and remove bottom leaf for that little extra drop. i think if ur truck has the carrrier bearing type of drive shaft you should be safe...alot of people have the driveshaft problem with the one solid driveshaft. lmk bro i can help u out with ur bridge stuff and what not...maybe even do a mini C and slam it alot!

Yeah i talked to DH about doing a mini C for me couple days ago actually. Ill see how the ride is first before i commit to anything else. My old truck i never trimmed rear bumpstops, just put good shocks and that was good, so we see. Its all trial and error. And as bernie said, in order to go low you cant be afraid to chop **** up. ahhahahaha

notching the frame does not have an adverse effect on ride quality....... your ride quality (compression rate) stays the same, it just makes it to where it wont bottom out on the frame.

if you wanna see it a different way, it actually improves the ride quality since it wont bottom out anymore where there were times it would.

Exactly. it gives it extra room, or even extra travel!

put it this way, Stock has about ~6" of travel. I'm not being super exact, but you will understand.

then I put 3" drop blocks on there. I lose 3" of that travel. I have only about 3" of suspension travel, Which isn't bad at all at this point (considering that i already took off my bumpstops).

So i decided to go even lower, an extra 2" . at this point, i have 1" of travel.

every bump, im slapping frame and axle, rides like shiot.

    then i get a c-notch, there's a variety of sizes out there, but i'm going for a 4" notche.

    i get 5" of travel again :D

i just ment travel because ride quality is effected by bottoming out on the frame thats what i ment..im not getting technical with spring rates and stiffness etc. because mainly when you drop ur truck alot the main reason ur ride will suck is because you bottom out..and the c notch will help give you extra travel and more travel so you dont bottom out.

xcab's done need the cross member cut, single cabs do.

    so yeah, summarization of c-notches.....

and less bottoming out= better ride.

yeah extra cabs have the carrier bearing driveshaft so you dont needa cut.

But you still need to correct driveline angles with an extra cab. A carrier bearing flip or cutting and raising the carrier bearing crossmember can help. I used a slip spline driveshaft from a 4x4 tacoma (static drop).
You need to find the ideal driveline angle and go from there.

I agree on adjusting torsions is the wrong way to lower your truck. Mine rides terrible and threw the alignment way off. Can't wait to get control arms or spindles.
