I would park it and shoot for a Toyota version of this truck. This truck is the cats meow (even though its a Datsun, shes still part of our family http://www.minitruckinweb.com/features/nissan/0709mt_custom_1964_datsun_nl320/index.html
Very cool. My frame builder guy that works for me (Terry) has one he built a full frame for to lay on 22's. Those trucks are SIK when cleaned up.
These hiluxes are very hard to find. I have been searching for one for a while. there is a stock one that drives around oroville but the old guy that has it wont let it go. But when I come across one I am going to restore the outside. paint it the original color, put all badges on it, leave those sweet lights on the fenders, etc. Then I would stock floor it on some decent sized wheels, and do a motor swap for sure cause they are smog exempt out here in cali.

First time I have ever seen images of Stouts. I know I came in on this very late, but guys; WE'RE the Love for old Toyotas. Our goals are to build from the ground up, take care of their every need, and throw in our own personalizations from time to time. I can count the number of toes on a pirate's peg leg the number of times I've seen old Ford trucks driving around with the stock engines still going strong. Toyotas will outlast anything else on this earth, and Top Gear in the United Kingdom proved that in one of their experiments. You Tube has the footage; Top Gear: Killing a Toyota.
