yeah its sitting in the gap in that pic..the only reason it isn't sitting right is the aircon crap...which is getting ditched :}
for now.... but i'm searching for a 50's shoebox....thinking of grabbing a front bumper, headlights, and trim off something in tht era and fabbing it up
Is this the 4x4 three piece grille? http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/pts/1124730297.html Thanks - OJ
Update I came to consult with my fellow minitruckers.. So this is what I decided to go with for my front end.. I went to the junkyard last week and this is what I came up with.. now the question is.. What's the easiest way of doing this? or better yet the right way? although the the zipties looks classy it's not exactly the look that I'm going for... what do you guys think? the bumper is not hard to do, but give me the 411 on the grill and headlights please.. thanks..
Nice! The right way would get the core support of the 4Runner. I don't know what the differences between the 84-88 and 89-95 core supports are. On my 94, I did minor cutting to fit all the tabs of the 4runner grill onto my core support. Bolt the headlights onto the core. It's been done before I've seen some trucks with your combo front end.
Thanks... that's what I figured.. I'll hack off the core support next week.. I've seen a couple of trucks with the same setup and I like the look... I wanna get it up and running again..
i think getting the 92-94 4runner radiator support would be the best bet to get the grill fitting nice and clean... i dont got a 4runner front on mines but i got the 2wd 94 grill on my truck and i made my own mounting for the tabs so i dont need to use tie straps i seen some trucks with the 2wd 94 grill on their 84-88 and the fitment looked weird either the bottom of the grill was pushed out more than the so i wanted to make mines look flushed and clean...
Thanks for the help guys! I just got the core support on Sunday.. gonna start working on it soon.. I'll post pictures soon..
i want to do the 92-95 4runner front end, but how can i get those fender lights to fit, The orange truck on the 1st page seem to have the 92-95 4runner fender light shape...? any ideas?
I'm going to take the fenders off a 92-94 truck, cut and weld them into place.. I don't know if that's a good approach, but that's what I'm going to do.. any ideas guys?
grill glos black, bumper valance gloss black, lights blacked out, headlights blacked out, corner lights blacked out. it looks sick as F*ck
Here is my truck, it took about 10 minutes to put on. I put a little more time in it since this pic and it does look better.
my 87 had the 4wd valance it was a easy bolt on I just picked up a new toyota grill and 4wd fenders for 50 bucks so once I find a valance I'm ready to paint my truck oh when I say toyota I mean factory stuff not repop crap
