I just want to let you know that anything after 3/4 drop will require a notch on your frame. Check out streetacos.com and hes the master to contact when it comes to our yotas. Im restoring an 82 shortbed and I will have a 6/8 static drop. I have a 97 tacoma with a 6/8 static drop working on going an inch lower all the way around. The point is I have no restrictions and will never bag my trucks. Heres a quick pics of my trucks. Good luck on your drop and make sure you check out that site.
I gotta say the taco is sick and the last picture has 4 yotas in it. That is amazing! So anything greater then a 4 is a notch rear end. What about front?
The front means that your tires would rub the inner fender. The most significant damage that your tires would receive would be from the bolts poking through underneath for your steering reservoir and anythin mounted on the fender. When I was static dropped I ran KYB gas a just shocks from a 69 camaro. They are really stiff and meant for the weight of a v8 so they help prevent your tires from moving up into your fenders while driving over bumps. It just means widening the lower holes on the shock slightly.
