that valance looks like a 92-95 4runner and that other style valance(posted in the other pics) put together. looks nice though. i seen another pic of this truck and it had side skirts that make the truck look a lot better because the front bumper doesn't look like its lower than the rest of the truck.
so this new pic does look like 84-88 fenders... those bed flares a def not stock 4x4 tho. the hood also looks different then the other pics...maybe the first pics are just washed out but the fenders look much different... i wonder what the timeline on these pics are...trucks look bad with body kits in general, but this looks sick! i think the roll cage is more for safety then for handling.
I like the look with the full side ground effects.I probably would have painted them to match the valance though.Kinda storm trooperish. The hood looks normal to me.Front fenders definately 84-88 4x with mod to fit the 90's 4x corners. The bed flares look a bit beefier to cover the offset on the rim and did you guys notice the chrome lower half on the back of the bed?I wonder how the back looks maybe chrome roll pan.Not a fan of too much chrome but thats just me.overall really clean truck.I give it an 8 for personality.
Your right, think the bedsides started off as stock 4x4 flares and modified to work with the body kit or custom all together. The cage , IMHO , looks more show then safety. I highly doubt the truck is being used in any mannor based on the way it's setup. It's a stock hood, the different lighting and matte white paint job magnify the body lines. Love how it compliments the truck.
this truck has a 89-95 4runner style rear bumper. it kinda matches and i guess having a rear bumper is a hawaii thing cuz a couple of my friends got tickets for not having one.
"The cage , IMHO , looks more show then safety. I get what you were saying before, and what i ment by it's setup is the large body kit on it. Just first seem like it's going to get any form of racing done there for appears to be a "hard parked" vehicle. And in with you on wanting to know the timeline of the pic and the one on the top of this page seems to be without the turbo setup unless its just the camera angle, and the valance isn't painted. I'm thinking you posted newer shots on the first page. I'm not knocking your opinion, just voicing my own. Are you looking to run this bumper on your long bed or a different year truck? Those are SSR wheels right? (Anyone know?) Anyone know where to find the snap bed cover that he is using?
I don't intend on using any of this on my 77 or 81, but am considering using a 84-88 body style as my "sport truck"!
Thought they were. Ran across a set while researching the wheel company of a set of wheels I picked up a little bit ago. Love to grab a set.
does anyone offer a bumper cover for these trucks my race truck is real nose heavy so im wanting to take the steel bumber which i had to make work off for a glass bumper cover... or am i gonna have to build one
