what can i do to lower my stock 83 yota truck

    i have a stock yota im tryin lower the i needed help with doing i dony know wherre to start this is my first yota and i want it to make it look good

    How much mechanical experience do you have? It can be pretty involved to do it the right way. Not necessarily expensive, but involved.

    im pretty mechanicl what can i do to lower my truck cause everybody has one raised up and i jsutwant to do something a lil diffrent in my town

    It really depends on how far down you want to go. if you just want a couple inches, thenk you can crank the torsion bars and use blocks in the rear. Another route is to buy drop spindles foe a later year truck and modify your lower control arm to fit the later ball joints. Belltech sells 3" drop leaf springs for around $150 Each. And post pics of that truck for us to enjoy.

    I've got the 3in belltechs drop leafs. Do i need a shorter shock tho?

    Yes, dropping your truck by using lowering springs changes the distance between shock mount posts and will require a shorter shock.

    Well I've run into more problems. Cross treaded the back shackle nut an can't even get the front out. Put in a cheap little ubolt to limp it home and the nut has pulled thru plate at the bottom of the shock. An from what I can tell are the rn34 parts are discontinued
