I know there is a forum-based app that does it. But TM is not on it. I have it for Tacoma World.

Would would be the difference between having a dedicated App and saving this forum as a bookmark on your home screen (shortcut)?

I have a shortcut on my home screen that opens up to TMs home page.

An app is completely different. So when your on your computer everything works just fine. Its easy to see everything and move about the site. But when your using your phone its very hard to see anything.

Yes you can still use the site while on your phone but its hard to navigate, post to the forum, look up pictures...

We have had this never ending conversation in the "site-suggestions" section of our forum. So far no one has actually gone and made the app for it. I would love to have an app for my phone but its up to our Admins to make it.

instead of an app, how about a dedicated mobile page? If you go the app route, you have to program one for each of the 3 major mobile OSs in their expected programming languages. If you create a dynamic mobile page, you only have to program one that stretches and resizes to get 90% of the mobile users covered.

then throw a link up near the top of the site for mobile users to click until they get it bookmarked.

I realize, however, that either route is still quite a bit of work.

Jeff the admin has stated before that there won't be an app for TM.

tapatalk is what you're thinking, but i would prefer a "lite" or "wap" version of this website!

    Bummer.
As tapatalk is a lite/mobile version and not an app for the site is Jeff willing to look into that? Makes posting pictures a lot easier as well..

Absolutely! Developing an app for both Apple and Android platforms would significantly broaden our reach and accessibility to users across different devices. high speed internet and cable tv packages It's crucial for meeting the diverse needs of our audience and staying competitive in today's market. Let's prioritize this initiative to enhance user experience and maximize our app's impact.
