I gotta whore my valve cover pics. I have a powdercoating shop so if anyone wants their valve cover done, PM me and I'll get a good price, done the right way, sand blasted and then powdercoated, you won't believe the finish.

Haha sorry if that came off like I was hating. I think yours looks good and I have nothing for love for anyone off TM, I was just saying that most shops will just do a half-ass job at sanding and painting and if they do a good job it will cost tons.

    My apologies sir.

for info, i used a pnumatic angle grinder and a blue scotch brite pad to do the "scuff" polish on the original valve cover........

this time around i am actually sanding both upper and lower parts of the valve cover by hand, hit the top of the areas that will be polished with a blue pad same as last time, then i will start sanding it in layers till i get a real nice smooth finish then start polishing it with hard cloth pads, then fine polish.... should come out better than chrome and be a real bitch to keep up

Looks good! When I was going to keep the 22r, I was planning to take off the top of a stock valve cover and weld or bolt on a finned top from either a larger valve cover, engine valley or the top one of those large, oval air cleaners that are used on 4 quad or three 2 bbl engines. Give it the old school finned look. I still think it would look great if it was done right.
