Leave the shield, put the bolts in from the bottom and flip the nuts connected to the metal upside down. It will all fit with out cutting anything. Look at that how to it will explain everything.

The thing that looks like 2 nuts connected by a strip of metal, is just that and is needed.... to bolt the strut rod to the bottom of the control arm. It needs to be flipped over to clear the ball joint once its bolted to the top side of the control arm.

If your talking about the thick steel tab, that is shaped kind of like a sheild and welded to the front of the control arm....you need that too. Thats a steering stop... so your wheel stops turning and you don't rub your tires all up into the fender wells on sharp turns.

All I gotta say is if your unsure with how to do it don't do it. You can mess things up including yourself if things aren't installed back properly. Last thing you want is to lose a lower ballpoint while driving...

OK so everything is done and lowered and I don't have much wheel travel before I hit the top of the wheel well how can I get more space ? Or do I just cut out the inner fender? I have 17s and running 215/50r17
