Wow bro... You should have bought them directly from KBS Fabrication (formally CanDo). $725shipped... Every dollar counts when you are building a mini. I made a large purchase though so that could be why the discount. I doubt it though...

when you did the Z did you use the square tube as a guide cutting reference or was it tacked on to drop the amount you needed for the Z? And if not used for the amount of drop.. then did you just use the scissor jacks to raise the front of the frame up for what you needed the Z to be?

Havent posted in awhile. Z is done as well as all the suspension stuff. Need to build shock mounts still as well as firewall tubs. Doing some maintenace work on it right now before I get all that finished. Drove it last week and waterpump was leaking like a champ.

Did you do anything to reinforce the rear cross member or did you just leave it cut like in this pic? I am just wondering if I should brace it somehow or just leave it. I have the same set up as Litneon but he has the ext cab and they have the split driveshaft. I am just trying to get ideas because with the rear axle at the frame, the driveshaft is hitting that cross member. I was thinking of cutting it out and making another one behind the cab but the tank may be an issue for me.

My rear x member is fully welded in but not boxed in. Lit runs a reverse 4 link requiring more strength in that area. I run a forward link setup

He did not have to cut his though because he has the split driveshaft which is clearanced higher than the reg. cab. Do you have a pic of how you did it? I would like to see one if you do please. Oh and are you laying frame in that last picture. Just so I know about how high the driveshaft will be. Also, did you have to cut any part of the cab above that x-member? Thanks

Not to steal anyones thunder, but is this what you are referring to? The rear cab crossmember? I know UC93 did brace around the top of his, I didnt. As Im bodied. I did have to cut quite a bit into my cab and re-tunnel. It lays flat frame, Z'd and bodied. I know some people that have to notch the bottom of the link member for the driveshaft, I didnt. I guess it all depends on your setup and lift, if you want...I can get you some dimensions, UC93 hooked me up when I was at that stage, I guess its time to pay it forward!

:waytogo: mine is very similar to this. Yes I did have to cut and clearance the cab for the driveshaft. All pics are in the thread.
