so waiting for the uhpolstery guy to finish the carpet .. he was supose to be into day , to finish up ... but again , didnt show up .. ??? .. I dont get it !! he complains to me that he dosnt make any money doing uhpolstery , but yet I cant get anything done ! anyway .. while I was waiting for him to show up , I did some more sound deadining and both done I was "tapping" on the door skins before and after, what a huge differance ... before it was a tinney type " ting ting" and after .. it was a low tone "bomp bomp" , best I can discribe it .. I think it will make a very big differance , and i'm now really happy I did it .
Thanks .. and I have resigned the thought of actually driving it this year , after all .. I still have to get it painted and the interior finished .. wont be untill next year now !! .
so one side done .. on install , Tony was pulling so hard he ripped the seam , so .. he had to take it back to his shop and sew it back up ... heres what the one side looks like anyway .
hopefully it wont take him to long to sew the seam back up, but its looking good and i cant wait to see the interior finished!
so not much to add ... as the other side has still not been done !! but .. I decided to install the speakers on the the one side anyway .. so mid and tweeter now perminantly installed .. .
Hey dumb question but whats that circle cuby hole thing below and to the left of the tweeter? But other then that looking good man. Man this guy might be good but he sure takes a very long time to do his work, One day work three days off. It sucks having to wait for someone to finish something that should of been done a couple weeks ago.
started working on the rear bumper .. I decided to go with a 84-89 4Runner rear.. stock Trekker bumpers are no longer avaliable , and I wanted chrome anyway .. so here's what I did . I got a "mock up " bumper from a buddy , so I was able to set it up on my jack stands , to get a good position .. tucked well into the body , it fits great .. I'm lovin' it .. so with it set in position , time to make up some brackets mocked up with cardboard first .. and transfered to steel plate , and cut cleaned up and bent with 70ton press got it welded , and then prepped for the POR-15 also while I was there , I needed to make my support bracket for the rear camera .. and got it all por-15'd .. .
Andy, this thread is full of WIN! If you get a chance, skip through it and see what kinda work has gone into this thing, it's amazing!
