set into place , and mocking up the body and you all ready saw the smoothie cowl and the shaved drip rails .. .
Dude thats a hell of a job I wish I knew how to fabricate stuff half as good I got ideas running through my head but dont know how to do it.
This is awesome build on a truck you don't see very often, (I didn't realize existed).. I must say you are doing a PROFESSIONAL job on this build,. keep'em coming
thanks guys ... kind of why I feel it's "worth it" /// what they were .. was a Proto type 4 runner ... to "test" the North American market , for a small SUV .. Toyota and Winnabego built . full fiberglass back 1/2 , with rear seating ... my company is actually going to be re-producing our own version , so now you will be able to buy a back 1/2 and convert any 79-83 short box toyota pick up --- to a Precision Trekker .
I will be doing one...i miss my 78 blazer more then i thought i would, and this would marry my love of toyotas, with my love of the blazer style! Any clue at all on how much a kit will run? I'm hunting a 4x4 cab/frame now
all depends on your budget ... but will run about 3G or so....... this one that I did last year (custom long box) was 6G shipped . delivered , with a little peak at what was inside and line-X'd
some exhaust .. I had to get a small "extension bend" to get it where I wanted .. but it's now in place with a hanger . also acid dipping some small pieces ...
and sorry .. forgot to put these in ... built new shoebox mounts , and floor had to cut , and drill .. and zinc .. but finally "tacked" .. and cab is now sitting on it's own ;D .
working on the floors .. made some templates first . and transfered them to steel cut them and fit them also started on the tranny tunnel pattern .
Lookin good!!! Just noticed you are from Penticton. I was there a long time ago and really loved it there. I hope to go back some day. Anyway keep up with the fine work!
