Yah, I'm torn between a 4Runner console or a custom console. The custom one cost alot more, even with friends making it. The problem with the 4Runner console is there's a heater/ac fan under it. The fan mounts to the floor then the console mounts to the fan. So if you don't have the fan you have to fab some mounting brackets.

Of course, that's how I made it to addict too.

There's another alternative to the center console stuff, as I said, wood and Wal Mart carpet, and if a 4Runner console has no fan, a little bit of sheet metal should work, couple of bolts here and there, etc.

Sounds good, I forgot about cushion... I may make a midget pillow to put under the upholstry of the thing, if I have to make custom.

You oughta put a DVD player in the console, Pimp My Toyota status!

You gotta try to get some pix when he does, I'd like to see it, maybe custom design mine if I can't find a 4Runner or SR5 console.

Which head unit you lookin at?

Yah, just drill holes & use bolts & nuts to mount the seats.

He's got the frame built. I could get a pic next time I go over.

If they're genuine Toyota seats, they should just bolt right in! That's how it'll work on my truck getting the buckets. I punched a small, unnoticeable hole in my vinyl flooring and found an OE mount for bucket seats brackets. Just need to tracked down some seats and hardware, including seatbelts.

Remember, whenever something is mass produced, the parent companies try to make nearly everything the same to cut costs.

I've heard that some std cabs don't have all the holes. You have to remember, the reg bench seat has 4 mounts, the 60/40 has 8.

Do you guys think an '03 Corolla S steering wheel will fit in my '88? I love the style and the leather upholstered wheel, not to mention, the first car I drove was a Corolla... God I want one! That or a new Matrix.

I know I'd have to remove the airbag, but I'm sick of being flipped off for accidentally hitting the horn.
