I looked at my fuse panel. Good news is I don't think its your ignition wire, cause its on a seperate fuse. I don't think its you radio either cause its on seperate fuase as well. Not sure what it may be.
dang. The fuse im blowing is a 10a fuse, 2nd row 3rd down i believe. I dunno whats the name/ID for the fuse. i think its that one. Oh well, tomorrow shall be fun. Maybe it is the alarm after all.
found this link, its for a '93 but should be the same for yours http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-buchanan/93fsm/
Have you tried disconnecting the cluster, then put a fuse in and start it up? If the fuse does not blow you might have bad cluster.
Your such a genius. no. I dont think it can unplug you know. actually maybe it could. See the horrors of being young.
Yeah i ripped apart the dash, pulled it out, looked at the back and was like wow. Looks almost like a compture board. Ok. if i unplug it, plug it back in, how can i tell if its the dash or something else? And i dunno how read this schmatics
Oh you know what else not working, my spedo not working. Hasnt been working for a while already since before i got the truck
Ok, unplug the cluster, put a fuse in it, start it up. If the fuse still blows you know the cluster is good and its the power or ground wire for it. If the fuse does not blow, then you have a bad cluster. Make sense?
Don't worry about it, I can be the same way when it comes to electrical and motors (motors especially)
here is the pin code for the cluster http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-buchanan/93fsm/bodyelectrical/6combinat.pdf There is a "ground" in connector B and two "gauge fuses" in connectors A & D, those would be the power wires.
Rajah. So i going put one fuse and see what happens then i going double check wires see if i find anything else try another fuse Then unplug the cluster and see
You know, now that i think about it the cluster could be going, because my spedo doesnt work, and hasnt worked for a while. What you think?
