yotascene has a chatroom. we could all be chatting there right now... not tryin to start a mutiny, I just think they need a chatroom here.
i have an account on yota scene. hardly ever get on there. doesn't seem as laid back there so i generally stay here. i'm semi obligated to do minitruckins forum.
I never see anyone using the chatroom on yotascene. I know we would use one here though. Yeah, I could see being semi obligated what with the mod status and all. That's cool though! Mod on minitruckin forums.
it's really nothing special. just means i can see all your personal info, and mod any post. but other that that nothin special. my friend got a new miller elite helmet for fathers day. its called "wicked". i'm pretty jealous!
Oh yeah that is sweet! (just googled it) I still use the old school huntsman paper helmet with an autodarkening shade. Nothing fancy, but at least I have my own autodarkening hood. I don't want to have to share with a bunch of sweaty fu@kers sweatin on my sweatso pad.
Hell yeah you do! I always encourage anyone with an interest to at least try it out. When I got into it I had no idea what I wanted to do, and now over ten years later it has had a huge impact onmy life. You should find a class or a shop that will let you apprentice or something.
i just found this helmet on www.millerwelds.com. this has to be a knock off of the most famous toyota ever "last look" my friend uses the old huntsman paper helmet as well, just with a normal filter lense. the new helmet will be his first electro. i use a lincoln hood (made by jackson), its been painted several times and is now cracking around the lense. i also have a speedglas electric hood, but i don't care for it. it has a pointy piece to deflect your breath and it always cracks my chin when i flick it down.
I actually really like my huntsman. It is what I learned with and it is super light, being a paper construction. Those flames though... Makes me a little jealous. I wrote my last name on mine and "don't fu@k with it". That's the only decorations.
my creeper used to disappear until i put "i dripped juice from my herpes all over this creeper" it honestly hasn't been used since.
My step-dad is a welder. He's from Louisiana, he started as an offshore welder building offshore oil rigs. He now works for Motive Power here in Boise building locomotives.
