That song sounded pretty alright to me, but my girlfriend wasn't really diggin it too much. I actually prefer a bit less of that really throaty kind of yelling. That is one of the things I guess I kind of like about soad, is they actually sing. It may be out of key at times, but they sing. Not tryin to dis your friends band. The drummer and all the instruments were cool. Hope your friends not the singer. :D

yeah my friend is the singer (screamer)! :D, didn't take the burn the in a bad way. it's pretty much how i describe welding. it slowly healing, hurts like a bastard cuz the scab doesn't bend, and being in the elbow area it needs to. so it keeps cracking and bleeding.

There was a gnarly accident in the shop I work in 3 days ago. My boss cut himself with a dry/cold cut saw. You know... The chop saws you really don't want to get cut with. It is seriously lucky he didn't lose a thumb.

He got about halfway through his thumb and the cut was about 1/4 inch wide. He was really lucky though. Just some stiches. His thumb still works. Hes still got all ten. He was holding up the guard (that holds itself up automatically) and somehow managed to hit the trigger. He is 68. He is getting to old for this stuff.

thats sucks! i almost sheared my thumb off on a piece of tubing when i was 18. damn shop was cluttered and i fell, landing my thumb right on the razor edge (from being cut with a chop saw). and i also stuck my middle finger in a running bench grinder. that **** removes skin really fast. other than those and this burn i haven't had anything too bad happen. my friend (father of the singer) cut off three of his fingers building the bar (mentioned in the other thread), luckily they saved them all.

I have cut the hell out of myself with those little razor like burrs. I learned the hard way never to reach inside a piece of cut off tube.

My worst accident was welding stainless with stick at about 75 amps. My gloves were wet and I got a hold of the stinger in one hand and the grounded work in the other. It took about 30 seconds to kick the stinger off of myself. My boss was watching and he bit@hed out. He just paniced and stood there. I had to kick the thing off myself, even though it was insulated and he could have yanked it out of my hands. Other than that I have been pretty lucky. I have mashede finger and stuff counless times, but never had to go to the hospital. Crazy about your friends dad. At least he still has all ten though too.:waytogo:

damn! this may sound a little fetish like, but i kinda enjoy a good shock. my worst was while carbon arc gouging some metal. it was the dead of summer (about 110 degrees out) and i was sweatin like a pig. stuck that rod into my arm at 300 amps! luckily it didn't stick, it just got me quick as i was getting repositioned. dropped my a$$ to the ground, and my arm hurt for a few hours!

I would have to agree on the AC/DC. Modern rock I'd have to say 3 Doors Down and Nickleback.

i consider ac/dc modern since the old bastards are still makin music. i like nickelback, but don't understand how they work. one song is about how he hates seeing women abused (i'm against as well) and the next is about how they aren't much more than **** toys.

 Since I'm older I consider acdc classic rock. I never thought about that with Nickleback. I saw them in concert bout 2 years ago, a very badass show! Thier pyro guy used be the pyro guy for Pantera. At that concert we saw Chevelle, Three Days Grace, Hinder, & Nickleback.
