that Phoenix Gold 1200.1 amp that pops up first, I'd give my left nut for that! those Titanium amps are badass! they don't make 'em anymore. yea everything else i wouldn't touch, except maybe the Kicker stuff

you could do a 1200 watt amp, but RF doesn't make one. the have two 500 watt (1 punch 1 power series), two 1000 watt (1 punch 1 power) & one 1500 watt (power series)

 

lol...since before i could drive & i'm 33

my 2 favorite brands are JL Audio & Alpine

 

If you buy RF amps buy the power series. (T series)

oh crazy. youll understand this story then. The truck in my sig, when i first got it the previous owner cut the back under the back seats and build a box for 2 tens. Never had the 10s but still had the sub amp. It wasnt working so when i cleaned out my truck i threw it out. My pops comes home, asks about it, gets all pissed that i threw it away as im laughing at him digging it out of the trash. I threw away the sub amp and mids amp. Later he tells me to google it. Come to find out its a Rockford Fosgate Punch 150 and a ADS PQ10. then he laughs at me and puts the amps away by his stuff.

an original Punch 150!!!!! what I would give for that. My first system was 2 Crunch 8's runnin off an ADS amp behind the seat of an '86 std cab Ranger back in '93-94

yeah its an original one with the huge heatsink fans. Couple weeks later he shows me that all you have to do is change the fuse and they work again. and he starts laughing that i was going to throw it away.

Hearing stories of those days, systems like that used to bang. small subs that do some damage, or like 4 12s that used to bang.

My aunty always tells me when i see her that im a child thats a product of the 80s, or an 80s child.

I wish i grew up during those times though. sounded way more fun. hydros. dropped trucks with dancing beds. loud stereos. hanging out all night, street racing, etc, etc. The "gangster" era ended all of that here, (the era after my parents)

 

oh yea, they don't make amps like they used to. and i've heard 1 Kicker 6.5" speaker sound like 2 15's!!

Thats what my dad said. Old school technology. Having to wire up your own coils and having to test the resistance. He used to tell me stories of hearing guys stereos blocks away. **** i wish you could hear me 2-3 blocks away
