you know, sometimes the pot stashed in the dash goes stail and needs replacing!

 

The daspot is on all 22REs with manual transmissions in my year and all carbed. It's on the throttle body where the throttle cable connects to the linkage. Holds the throttle open during deceleration to make it greener.

Oh, got it.

Stupid dashpot is causing my engine to revv at 1500+ on a bad day. I can take my foot off the clutch in first gear and it'll drive itself a mild uphill.

It just forces the throttle up a bit to make emissions better. Just a little POS costing a lot of money in my gas and wallet. I have the part, direct from Toyota (got it months ago), just haven't got it installed yet. You need a pic?
