Thread Name: Toyota Well-Done , hoping jeff can help me out!

    lol

Also came across a thread here on TM about relocating radiator to the bed of the truck, the idea really interests me, especially with the inline 6 being so much longer then the 18r i pulled out, starting on the frame this weekend! My brother in law is coming up from AZ to help me out a bit, hoping to get the step notch's in, most of the 4 link done, bags should be here tomorrow... but i forgot cups :( so it might be a few to get the bags in lol.

    Pics guaranteed! Stay Tuned!

OK so its been a while, and unfortunetly when i have time to think i start changing stuff, sooo.. i decided to not do bags, instead i found full front and rear toyota supra suspension to go with my ....different motor i just bought the 7mgTe, yep found a turbo instead of the N/A and sold off what i didnt need for spare lol.

only thing holding me up right now is finding a transmission... found a couple but sooo expensive, i cant justify spending 900 on a unknown condition transmission. but once i get that i can get my fitment on the frame and then i can move to fitting the body on.

    lol thats friggen genius!

Im not sure what ill do, but now i have some ideas of what i CAN do haha.

personally i like the wheels to sit wide, rather then tucked, but i picked up the front and rear supra suspension complete rotor to rotor for really cheap ( front 50$, rear 100$ with LSD diff and driveline) lol and almost none of what ive got so far has been expensive or permanent, but i love stuff and finding/buying it all is almost more then half my fun

took some quick measurements before i had to come to work today :( the supra suspension, using the same tires i took off, come out 4 inches wider then the body, 2 inches on each side... looks like that guy with the D350 hit it on the nose with widening it 4 inches haha, im not sure what the plan will be, but i will be busy rebuilding the frame to fit the suspension for now

On these older vehilces, if the glass was taken out, and i had a professional put it back in ( windshield and rear glass ) are they able to replace the rubber moldings? mine are all cracked and have bad gaps, i want to remove the glass to do the dash fitting

That's going to be a sick truck when it's done.

When it comes time to part with the leftovers of that supra I'd love to have the suspension pods like you picked up already depending on price of course. I've got a truck sitting here that would rip with those parts under it with a 1uz. :D

SOLD! I need to make a trip over the mountains to pick up some other parts anyway. I'm balls deep in potato harvest at the moment but I should have a window to head over in a few weeks.

Wanna part with a rear subframe too?

Cool deal, nope rear subframe is being used, pretty much building a supra now with the hilux body on it, going with the whole dash guages front seats suspension brakes motor and drivetrain from the supra, and fabbing a frame to connect the 2 sub frames that are under the car to seat my truck body on it, but i know of a couple around here near olympia that are for sale, i know there is one for 250 includes diff rotors and everything except the driveline, and there is one in northern oregon for 100$, Craigslist has a few supras being parted out on this side of the state too, maybe set it up to come over and pick the front and a rear up somewhere else?
