awsome thread so far! i really admire the hard work on polishing the rims, especially the sr5 turbo rims! its hard to come across decent turbo rims! keep up wit the thread! CHEEEEHOOOOOO!!!!

Just picked up another set of turbos for $100 with no curbs or dents with all 4 center caps! Deals!!!! Btw thanks guys!...

 

What steps did you take to polish them out.

 

400grit, 800grit, 1000grit, 2000grit, mothers aluminum polish. Stay on 400grit till the lines are completely gone and smooth, then when you hit 2000grit make sure everything is sanded good. Btw always wet sand with soap and water. What you thinking of polishing?

too high for me when he had it. Lol. His steup was 3inch blocks pulled middle leaf. 2inch drop spindles and torsion to match the back.

i hear ya, I'm use th vw's with 1/2" of clearance. it doesn't seem like you can go much lower than that without a bunch of mods. that and dad's/my truck gets used to haul heavy stuff almost daily.

^^^yeah pretty damn hard but just gotta keep an eye out everytime. My friend scored his 3rd set of turbos just last weekend all he had to do was replace it with steelies.

 

where did you get chrome caps on the turbo's

 

the caps were already on the truck they were chromed dipped.
