just realized my temp gauge isnt working. one more reason to get another cluster or build one with aftermarket gauges.
I took my 93's battery out and put it on the charger. I then turned around a looked at my 83 and realized I need to get back on it.
Kristian and I tried to remove my original steering dampener and install another one. We didn't successfully get it out But I bought some mid leafs from him. I went to the hobby shop today to get the truck on a lift. Took about 1 -1.5 hours to finallyget that thing to pop off. No pullers fit I tore off that rubber and stuff from the old one, out. Used a fork and hammer, much better success! new one on! Should absorb much better. I tried to disconnect leaf pack for mid-leaf install.. That bolt..... is freaking seized. The little no head one! I threw PB blaster on it. I might have to cut it.
Just installed my mid leafs yesterday too. 4 leaf spring pack with overload, looks like i got a 4x4 pack on...
I finally got them on last night. I'm running stock main, secondary, and overloads with a 3" drop block. I got myself a freaking 2-3 finger gap between tire and fender, vertically It's okay. I have BeefedTaco's C-notch kit I need to weld in, still.
I stayed up till 4am making sure that the motor was ready to go into place now waiting on an extra pair of hands to get that bitch in there
... added a tinted front windshield banner. (6.5" center/9" outer) No more dropping down the visors every time I change street directions
Congrats! Your a Dude after my own heart! You can never have too many yotas!!! Or parts!!! Been looking for a 2nd gen parts truck myself Anyone got an 84-88 they wanna sell near NJ?
I installed the 4runner fenders but still using my 2wd bumper. Just need to find some fender liners cheap.
Got a little more none on my winter projects, one of which is the removal notch cover. The top buttons & tabs are in place ,the fit to the rear is set & next weld in the the last 3 tabs ,drill the holes for the buttons & finale fit . Will have to reinstall the rearward tank & lines & check for clearance /removal than recoat with the bed liner!
