I drove to the yards originally to look for a alternator plug for my cousins 95 Maxima ended up getting it along with some 4 Runner chrome side mirrors for $40 good condition. The man wanted $60 but talked him down to $40. Woot woot!!!
spent three hours tracing the wiring harness looking for the factory "clutch start cancel" wiring, never found it. managed to ruin my drivers speaker and then installed a boost guage in the gaping hole in my dash where a tach once was, neither were operational. maybe something will break on the way home.. >.>
lol the wires your looking for are directly under your clutch pedal, if you are trying to get rid of them just pull the little switch out and put the 2 wires together. yup. they are garbage. im on my 3rd oem radaitor in the titan because the bottom is plastic and it always breaks on the bottom... too bad an aluminum ones 400 or id buy one.
Lost my alternator/water pump belt going down the freeway. Luckily I decided I would start carrying spares this morning. Had no tools on me but a goodyear shop[ helped me with that.
Repolished & reinstalled my Griffin radiator, after getting it repaired by them, free! We'll see if it stays good!!
Did the turnsignal/reverse light flip and cleaned off nite shades from my full clear taillight lens. Also did the load body work, just needa weld up some holes on my fender n she'll be ready to paint.
I let her sit at home and think of what a bad girl she has been while I went to the drag strip to run the bone stock rx7 we picked up lol ... non-turbo bone stock vert ran a 16.4 ... and they said it would only run a 17.5 ... bahahaha yeah with a bad driver ..... bahahahahaha hope to have the truck out at the next CMI event.... I want to show them honda drivers what a "truck" is all about ... lol first cmi I head out to will be N/A for a base line of what the turbo has done to the times
I found the OEM replacement all metal for like $150, the one I bought was $60... I'm cheap I have to admit. Today I replaced the thermostat, the truck still had the original one, but it wasn't open properly.
I picked up my 94 4runner radiator off of ebay for under $100 it is a 3 row full alum. and that was with shipping ...... it fit right in my 88 2wd but cooling upgrade I have ever done ... to any car/truck didnt even NEED to run a fan 90% of the time
I entered my truck in TrackStar's January 2012 contest on Facebook. If you like my truck and want to help me out, go to this link and "like" it! Thanks guys Photos of Trackstar Distributors | Facebook
painted my 15" smoothies. took the truck to the shop to get new engine mounts and tranny mounts installed as well as a new valve cover gasket and a new water pump. going tomorrow to pick it up and try to install my drop kit. been a busy couple of days for The Yoda.
Thanks guys for voting, we had a good try! I didn't make the finals. In the mean while, I bled my clutch line yesterday! apparently there was a leak and I tightened it up. There was some air in the lines so i bled it. I tried the autozone one man bleeder kit. That didn't work, the hose was too small -______- It was also very inconsistent. So I found a bigger hose and an empty bottle. I used a turbo my friend left at my house and pushed the clutch pedal down while pushing it behind the brake pedal. went under my truck, cracked the valve loose, and repeat the process about 3-4 times til all the fluid was clear of bubbles while refilling the master cylinder. Best way, ever. And then I compound, polished, and waxed the cab of my truck.
Recessed my headlight for my phantom grille, replaced my trans output shaft seal, did some wiring on my LED tail lights. I still have to find some air leaks and make better brackets for my grille so see what happens this week.
