Pulled the old radiator and somehow coated both hands in oil. How did I get oil on my hands from the RADIATOR? I need a new can of Orange... hell I need a CASE.
so i swapped plugs back to copper standards and wholy crap did it make a shhitty ass difference gonna go buy some iridiums again tomorrow and swap em out. didnt know how good the truck ran with them till i whent back to standard ones. didnt get a chance to buy the coil so thats on the list tomorrow as well and a vacuum gauge to try and figure out the tune better.
Drove myself to some event some chick on the interwebs invited me to. It was an open bar, so I couldn't say no. Putting a suit on was worth it. I double fisted some expensive beers. And to the truck, I bent a hot girl over the hood in a parking lot And yes, I wore a plaid shirt with a suit
Oh, I also changed my timing from "by ear"...which was about 35 and pinged a bit, to with a light at 12. And replaced my vacuum line (non plural, webers ftw! ) to the dizzy. Runs better now, need to bump up the idle speed a hair. I have a new length of fuel line from the frame to carb to put in tomorrow. But while driving, my passenger wiper arm decided to strip the splines off and somehow turn around backwards and started wiping the effin hood. I looked over and was like "dude....what the ****?" So I get to replace a wiper arm and pivot shaft tomorrow. Damn me and Curt have really picked that 78 at the yard clean of EVERYTHING
Scared a guy riding his slow ass moped down the middle of the road holding up traffic by giving a good third gear CHOOOP as I passed by. He got the hint and pulled over to the shoulder after that.
Took every sharp corner I could find, progressively faster and faster. I love the new tires. I took a windy 25mph road bout 65
You posted this in the wrong section. It belongs in the "you know yer a minitrucker if..." thread. Mods, would you please move this post?
.....you know yer a minitrucker if you rely on "the force" to keep you from running out of gas at 2am?
put on 4 new shocks and replaced the front u-joint. thought only the rear was bad the first time. i was wrong.
I installed an aftermarket 2" voltage gauge. Which, by the way, is the easiest gauge to wire up ever. Its from harbor freight. $20 I couldn't pass it up. White face, 7 LED color lighting. Pics in my build thread. I'll get their other ones soon.
i hooked up a new non-sr5 cluster up to my truck so i can tell how much gas i have now........... .......oh and remind myself that my speedo is off by about 15 mph...
