yea, probably. Trying to keep the sleek look though. I think I finally have my wheel measurements figured out, so just need to get them ordered. Also with the 4x4 fenders id have to find flares for the rear, or a 4x4 long bed.

That's another mod I might consider in the future if I drop more. I imagine that it would be hard to find that bed lol. I only have found one for my body but it was pricey

    Went to the junkyard...

And installed an speedo with working odometer out of an 80 SR5 into my 81 daily. I also ended up picking up the tach out of it. Interior was the same color so I had to grab the armrests too. Just need to fix the windshield now.

I bolted a beat up 95 bumper and valance onto the 90 and put carpet into the truck in place of the craptastic trashed rubber mat. :D

The blinkers were busted up so I slipped the stock 90 blinkers into the spots. Now that I know I like the look I'll find a new bumper, brackets and valance.

Sorry for the late response, I was out on vaca with the fam. I painted the bolts but not the threads, until it was all together. If you paint it all before assembly, just run a die over the bolts to clean up the paint.

    thanks for the offer

I actually like my stock steering wheel though. Thanks anyways. My 72 definitely needed a steering wheel so...

Installed a momo using a nrg hub into my hilux. Looks sooo much better now!

My brother (Macrib) gave me his spare 350z wheels. Prepped and painted them over the weekend. These will be going on the 81. My son plans to drive it so the looks will be changing soon.

paint will come off as you thread the nuts on, more than likely you will have to chase the threads with a die to clean the threads if you powdercoat them, a little self etch primer and rustoleom will hold up just fine

This is my biggest fear driving around in my 85. God knows insurance wouldn't cover my truck for what it's worth to me or to replace. Hope all works out for you and enjoy the GT. Had a friend back in the day with a VR4 3000 GT.
