I run the same blocks. Love them.

got my 4runner grill installed and started scrubbing off grime from everything. Do want to start getting parts from the jy so i can powder coat them later.

Few weeks back I started redoing my interior to make it feel a bit more "refined"
I also washed it for the first time in the 4 years since it was stolen and recovered.

Picked this up last week a W58 with steel plate for $100. It has been apart at my workplace the day after i got it, waiting for new bearings and synchros. Previous owner said he had it rebuilt but the Toyota tech said that it has never been rebuilt.

Got the intake manifold off the blown-head engine, so that I can put it on the not-blown engine tonight or tomorrow. I'm thinking I should stop at the parts store and get all new studs and bolts. Whose idiot child thought to use an allen bolt through the thermostat section anyway? Why not a hex head?

Also, I put Pablo's plates and battery to the '92 so it would shift into neutral and look registered, then I told AAA to go fetch it home for me. They fell for it. :D :D :D

Smooth lookin truck and scenery. Digging the white on white.

Second thing, I ask everyone with your year range truck and yet to get a reply. Could you take a close up of where your valance mounts to the bumber on the sides? I put an 87 bumper on my 85 and bought an 87 valance, but something doesn't look right.

I'd appreciate it greatly. Thanks and keep cruisin and clickin.

O yea, it looks like your fronts are tucked. What size tire and wheel backspacing are you running? Any rubs?

Today I received my baptism in Dextron II. Red has 175,000 miles on him, and I'm betting that ATF came over from Japan with him in 1992. I changed the transmission filter and wiped out the goo. No reason that I can see that, with a few changes of ATF, he shouldn't run just fine, for an automatic. But then I still hope to change him over to a 5-speed this fall.

I drove Pablo to town and got Red registered, with plates. I installed a new thermostat in Pablo this morning before going. I picked up a new temperature gauge sender and installed it once I got home. I also topped up the brake fluid and re-tensioned the new alternator belt that screeched a bit on the way home. I'm closing in on "back to normal" with him. Of course, "normal" is just a setting on the dryer...

You got the weld in c notch and crossmember notch from beefed taco too? How did your drop affect the load capacity and ride?

I havn't hauled anything since I put the blocks on. But if you keep stock springs and just add blocks and notches your load capacity shouldn't change. I have the belltech lowered leafs along with the blocks (approx. 7 inches of drop). I don't haul anything heavy, just usually a load of yard trash and tree branches. Didn't see much issues with the load and the springs. If your worried about travel, I still have 3 inches from top of axl to the low profile bump stops with the springs, blocks and notches.

Yes I got the notches from beefed also. Got the cnotches with the low profile bump stops.

Cool thanks for your input. I did some math. I'd be at about 7 if I do decide to go lower after 4 inches. But that's a maybe and later down the road.

Did you do Lca and lowering spindles or what is your setup up front? Do you have rubbing issues with tires on the fenders or anywhere?

Yea, I have spindles, LCAs and did the BJ flip. Yes my stock 14" wheels rub. I've read/been told that removing the plastic inner fender well and bending up the inner fender lip will relieve most if not all of the rub. Haven't tried it yet cause it isn't terrible with just me riding to work and back in it. The rears have plenty of clearance.

Note, it didn't rub with just the LCA and BJ flip. Only once I added the spindles. O, and I haven't touched my torsion bars.

I'd hate my wheels to rub. Can't that be fixed with the 4x4 fenders too?
