Not today but finally fixed my exhaust manifold leak on the 81. No more tractor starts in the morning anymore. She purrs now
Not today, but yesterday I got my sliding around real nice on the valley roads. Sure is nice having my 17s back on. The new fuel pump works good for now.
Hit up pick n pull & for their half off weekend & walked away with a pair of gray 91 4Runner front seats, center console & a Volvo 850 twin tone horn for $60. Just finished cleaning the seats - it took 3 passes over each with the carpet cleaner & that water was really nasty when I dumped it out. I'll put them in tomorrow once they're dry and I'll go ahead & clean the carpet in the truck while I have the bench seats out.
Not exactly "drop in" as described on the board. The driver's seat front bolt hole by the driveshaft hump isn't even close to lining up. Not sure what I'm going to do, but I don't like being in a seat held down with only 3 bolts. Seats are still a little dirty for my liking, so tomorrow I'll hit them again with the carpet cleaner.
the 4runner seats bolt right in that i have seen. ive never had issues bolting them up before. sure the railing wasnt just tweaked or misaligned with the other side?
started work on a spare motor Picked up this '88 short block for $250.00 it still has the factory hone marks in it at 117,000 miles
Today my timing set and oil pump arrived from engnbldr and I installed all the timing stuff on my motor. Hopefully tomorrow my front cover from eBay will arrive so I can do that then my motor will pretty much be ready to put in whenever I get the time to do it. Anyone know where I can get the valve lash adjusting screws? Mine are pretty worn and I'm missing one..
today i noticed that i developed a notciable miss/hesitation between 2400 and 3000 RPM at highway speeds.... might be time for a tuneup....or ignition upgrade!
