Good deal. I really need to get a higher power alt. rain season is here and I'm constantly turning the wipers and blinkers on and off to balance the power. After my ignition and headlights there isn't much to spare.

I put a red top battery in recently and I also put on some muffler/slow downs on my valves and some regulators to lift and drop the front and back at the same time. I got the pancake to go at the same speed but the airlines need to be changed around to get it to lift at the same speed. That is my next task at hand.

    You won't regret upgrading!!!

My dash lights are brighter, my wipers wipe faster, my blinkers go at a normal pace.. And it cleaned up the engine bay a little since you remove the regulator..

Finally, after a month of headaches and related crap, I got my belltech lowered leaf springs on. Of course all the result did was confirm what I already figured. Still need to put the 2in drop spindles on the front, and probably 4in blocks in the back. Of course this will require all the beefed taco notches too.

Here's a couple pics of the springs and shocks.

I know, wife says the same thing. I'll get to it, almost didn't post that pic because of the exhaust. :D

Any tips on exhaust for an 85? Haven't looked for kits yet or wonder if its just better to go to a shop and let them build one.

I always build my own. Lego style with stuff from the parts store. Usually just a straight section, muffler and a turnout. I did my ok 84, its pretty simple. I run them out in front of the back tire. Little more tone and no axle jumping

Sounds like more "reasons" to invest in a welder. That on top of all the notches I'm gonna need.

Blew out the 4" Boston Acoustic speakers I found in the junkyard 1 week after I put them in (with a stock cd/cassette Toyota radio?). Ordered a set of Bazooka 3.5" & installed them in a set of 4Runner front speaker boxes when I got home from work. Hopefully these will last a little longer.
I'm hoping to install a set of 6.5" in the rear side cargo pockets this weekend, but the search continues for a new head unit. Having a tough time deciding on what I want.

89 Regular Cab. The weirdo with the stock suspension.
You might want to consider some bass blockers for the dash speakers.
    bass blockers at Crutchfield.com

Paired with the rear speakers it will decrease distortion and keep the fronts from blowing. (within reason.)

I've got a set of those, I just can't find them at the moment. I'll have to add them once I install the new head unit. At least the speakers I blew were only $14 from pick-n-pull.

Finally back from working out of town. Got in the garage and started removing the entire ECU system out of the Lexus. Just need to remove the fuel system from the Lexus and will be able to start assembling everything in the toyota.

I'm going to do a full sheet metal floor! I was going to keep the stock floor look and raise it up and cover the notch but the bed floor was going to be very shallow! So I'm going to weld this bed back together drive it for bit! Then I'm going to do full sheetmetal floor! It's going to be a minute to get the funds back up and I haven't drove it in 6 months so I'm eager as hell to get it out of the garage!
