It hangs below by about an inch, can't really see it.. Im planning to do a quick polish on the top, but it does have a few small scratches so might go all out on it, but it's staying shiny aluminum forsure. The spot I used for the heater hose was just the drain plug spot, it had a funky drain that I didn't like so I put a barbed fitting in its place.. Dang... 11:1? That's quite the bump from just a little off the block! Im getting an adjustable timing gear for it also
Well a stock uncut 20/22 combo is about 10:1. So I'd assume a point for some cuts. My head is cut about 15 and mines similar. Accidentally put in 87 grade last night and it pinged a bit. I mixed it with some super to make up for it. Anyways dudes, off to work for me.
Dont forget Im using a 20r block though.. im guessing about 9.5:1 maybe 10:1.. Heres a pic to show the amount that drops below.. you really how to get down there to see it.
got bored today and decided to wrap the dash cover... it was definitely a pain in the ass and i messed up in a couple places.. but ehh oh well. maybe ill rewrap it one day...
Streering Dampener So during my long road trip I noticed that the steering seemed off a bit,the front wheels would catch bad road groves & want to pull the steering wheel. So I checked the steering dampener & there was no resistance what so never! Never have replaced it ,so did to! Will road test this week!
moved it out of the garage to build a camera slider for some videos. oh yeah. got my bracket for the euro plate and put it on. not really much.
Today I found a 74 FJ55 land cruiser at the junk yard. Snagged the window cranks and door handle buckets. They're metal instead of plastic in the hilux. I already have metal handle pulls from a 74 hilux. Had to tweak the slot slightly for clearance when it opens. Ill get pics up later.
Of by the way that 20r was sitting inside the engine bay of a 70's lux and it looked like it all was there for the sheet metal and a few odds and ends
Just put a new clutch master cylinder in, it feels so wierd not having to push the pedal to the floor lol
Today was a show day for me , & came home with Best Truck. A first time event for the small town of Pinole, only drew 68 entries, of which 7 were trucks counting me!
