Technically yesterday but, I ordered a new all aluminum 2 core 4runner/pickup radiator for my truck:D I'm excited! Hopefully it will help my truck stay cooler on the freeway..atleast it will rule out if that's the cause.:rolleyes2:

Changed my mind about the visors because it was a pain to wrap. So I went with the wink mirror. Easier for me to wrap.

Today at work I was doing some repairs on a 92 Toyota 2wd. Valve cover gaskets turned into timing belt, has the 3.0 V6. I haven't worked on those wrote but not do they suck. Luckily later this week we have a 22re truck to work on. At least it wasn't another day of fixing German crap. Mostly

Took Lil B back to the emissions place for round two. This time it passed! Going to go get plates (year stickers) tomorrow, then it'll be driveable again.

Took my truck for a decent drive to picknpull since its half off this weekend.. Didnt over heat until I or home, even after sitting in traffic for a couple minutes:D I found a nice looking leather shift boot and 4 matching chrome window roller knobs.. Sadly the knobs don't fit:( but I only paid $3 for all of it so oh well!

On a side note my new radiator came today! I guess I have plans tomorrow:D

Good score on the small parts. You can use Toyota corolla or Cressida window cranks. The cool ones had a stainless stripe on the arm and a disc on the knob. Hard to find a black set, but Krylon fusion holds up great on them. I don't think I have any spares but ill keep an eye out in the garage.

Today I finished up the 92 2wd at work. Did rear axle seals and bearings, u joints, valve cover gaskets, and some other work. Seeing the 3.0 V6 in person from the top and bottom, I can see why they aren't popular. Everything went pretty smooth. Nice to know how easy rear axle seals and bearings are. Ill do mine at work in a few weeks.

It was cool, at one point the shop looked like a Toyota specialty shop. Had a 92 2wd, a 91 4wd, a 94 4wd, 2 93-95 4runners and my 78 parked out front. I should have gotten a pic. Ill try tomorrow.

I have boxes full of minor dress up stuff. Keep them. Might find a friends ride who can use them or something.

Put my new radiator in, used the top two holes and drilled new bottoms.. My shroud even worked with it:D now I just need to lengthen my lower hose and somehow attach my heater return hose..

Heater hose you can move to the driver side of te front cover. Later gens did stock and had a pipe that will move the rubber to just behind the header. I don't have spares but can snap a pic later/tomorrow.

I got the heater hose problem solved, I took out the drain plug and put in a 3/8npt to 1/2" barb fitting.. Thankfully the drain plug was on the drivers side! Wasn't quite as big as it should be but it will hopefully work!

    Heres how it looks..

I like that i can see it through the front! kinda reminds me of an intercooler:rolleyes:

I also worked on my motor for a few minutes, got the pistons installed and its getting me excited!

I had the block shaved .010" and i think that was the perfect amount simply for the fact that the pistons are perfectly flat with it.. hopefully i wont have to have the head decked anymore the .005" Any ideas on what the compression ratio will be?

It should be comped around 11:1 with the small decking. Keep timing to around 12-15 and it shouldn't ping

The radiator looks good. You have any top tank treatments in order to spiffy it up? Some 180 grit and a can of Krylon X-metals bomb candy looks really good on them. Or polish it but that's way more work lol.

As for the heater hose, you mean that funky thing sticking off the side at the back? I never thought of that being a heater port. Good thinking buddy. Ill remember that one.

Does your radiator hang below the core support like mine did/do? I used to get Honda kids asking if its an intercooler all the time. I said yes

Today at work I finished one of the most dumbass projects I've had yet. 2006 Mini Cooper S model. 1.6l with a supercharger. Water pump was bad. Had to take the intercooler, the supercharger, the front bumper and core support all out to swap the damn thing. They mount it to the back of the blower instead of the belts directly. Took probably 10-12 hours for a "4 hour task". Got screwed on that one, I work what book time is. Damn German cars.

One cool thing I think might be usable to us Toyota guys is the intercooler itself. It's only an inc thick and mounts on top of the motor under the hood scoop. It may solve the issue people have with fittin one in. Litneon and a few others are doing turbos right now. Ill get a few pics of it tomorrow, or google them.
