^ I've never played with 1/2" valves, always 3/8". But start with an 1/8" hole, and work your way up until you are happy. If you go too large, $2 to fix it. I usually prefer 9/64" and thats perfect for me, but I like a very slow drop. For example, hold the switch down for a few full seconds to lay it out.
