    Thanks Bernie

Cast into the block. Thinking of outlining it in black for that extra touch.

You forgot to put your Taco in your sig Hul-E-O. I towed a car with my 8V. You pulled a tiny harbor freight trailer and a few wheels

Ordered some parts from LC. Should be here in a few days.

    I got 48MM Intake
and 44MM Exhaust valves and seats

Bronze Pro valve guides and viton seals for em.

I calc'd it out. Compared to what I had, the intake is 10.5% bigger di. and exhaust is 20.5% bigger. :eyecrazy:

I know it was choked with the tiny valves, with these, they should make it rip. Ordering the dual springs, TI retainers, and hardened keepers at the end of the week. Then off to the machine shop...

Cool, so I got my valve hardware today by UPS.

They're big, Real big! And heavy too. Pics will be up tomorrow.

A friend of a friend is buying my Moostang, So a good amount of play money will be heading my way. So I can get back to my 302 build once the Celicas running.

On a side note. Ive been thinking if I should mill the Hybrids head .030 (or more?). To get the Compression up to an even 10 to 1. You know why not...

Thoughts and opinion? Im getting an adjustable cam sprocket tomorrow. So thats not an issue.

    Its really quite simple.

Tall deck block. (No lazer stamp/pad on the side) 81-84 22R
Double row timing kit. (81-82 22R)
Domed tall deck pistons (81-82 22R) stock.
    22R head gasket.
20R head. Perferrably with power steering and fuel pump bosses. (Check!)
    20R intake manifold.
    20R intake gasket.
22R exhaust mani (the twin dump one, but get a header)
22R aluminum rockers. (any 82+ 22R) Early ones are steel.

^ all factory parts. You can use a 22R carb on the 20R manifold, but it holds it back soo much. Need an adapter from LC.

22R and 20R cams are interchangable.

To build a short deck, or Lazer Hybrid. (as far as I know...)

Mill the 20R head down so the deck to bottom of cam journal mesurement is 3.130 inches.
Alighn oil passage in head. slight clearancing.
    22RE single chain timing kit.
    22R/E headgasket.

The rest is the same in principle. Some posts on some websites are against hybrid motors, claiming it isnt worth the time. Theres two guys here that can vouch that it runs really really strong. (on all factory parts save for the cam, header, and carb) :waytogo:

so as for the fuel pump and p/s bosses... what if you dont have them?. can you still build the hybrid? or does it make it a huge pain

Yes you can still build it. The power steering bosses are optional really. I had a power steering pump bolted to a non P/S head. It worked, but didnt look right.

The fuel pump boss (or lack of one) will decide if you have to run an electric pump. Late 20Rs (something like 78-81) have the power steering bosses. Im not positive tho. But on my head, I would rather have a P/S and fuel pump head. But I figured it out too late...

Javi-There is a stamp on the side of the block, drivers side. Its kinda a wierd shape. Look at this pic. Lazer block http://www.lcengineering.com/TechNotes/?techid=49
No stamp, its a tall deck block
