i'm not sure how much it weighs. it seems heavy as hell pushing up the slope of the drive. i pulled the doors and fenders/hood and seat and i removed the cab by myself by hand. it wasn't bad at all.
and i got the cab mounts fabbed.. went to weld them on and ran out of wire. i'll pick somemore up tomorrow and get the cab installed. then start fitting the 1uz after that.
front cab mount rear cab mount and just when you think you freshly bodied truck is low, you realize some other ******* has one lower
thats lookin good. i love the orange. its like mine. lol. only your now about 4" lower than me. haha.
great projects mr bern! I love the fun you have with it. man, I love the sick 1UZ hilux planned. lol standard byker, yours is lower than mine!
haha...mine is lower than every static'd truck on the site. except maybe SD YOTA...its a close one there. pop can test had me a hair lower but ill call it a tie.
let us not forget this...lmao and if you notice, the driver side is slightly up the angle of the road. ive also stepped the whole truck down one tire size (70/75 to 65/70)
lol I wanted to go lower without changing tire sizes... i feel that's just too easy and all... I also need to make more room so the tires dont get chewed up by the fender wells (especially those nuts...
Well I needed new tires. And had some rubbing issues. They are about half inch shorter overall. So to me that isn't cheating.
a neighbor of mine works in a shop that strips brand new ford e 350 vans and converts them for the handicapped. today he gave me a brand new section of carpet. i cut it to fit kinda... some of the factory holes couldn't be avoided, but it's better the the factory plastic mat. these are the holes i couldn't work around and i picked up some lexus badges from the scrap yard. which is the best???
id do the oval. but either one not crooked. what about off centered at the bottom? and ill post a photo tomorrow of my new one for the 78
