I got my truck back from the painters and I’m assembling. I put new door locks and ignition so I have a key now. The problem is the passenger door is stuck shut. I locked it trying out the new key and now it won’t open. This truck has been sitting out in the desert for 6 years, so I used wd40 and it seems like all the parts are free moving but I still can’t get it to unlatch. Any ideas? I have the door panel off and it’s taken apart as much as I can with it being shut.

can you get in the other side and remove the door card? could be that a linkage to the latch or lock is not connected.

**also, WD40 is NOT a lubricant, it is merely a Water Displacer (hence the W D). Everything that you sprayed with it should be treated with the proper lubricant sot that they don't seize up.

I’m not sure what a door card is. I used white power blast lube also. Everything moves good and it doesn’t appear gummed up but I can’t see what’s in the latch box. It looks like the bolt heads are in the door jam which I can’t get to

Door card is the door panel.

Can you physically move the rod from the lock cylinder?

I took all the rods off and everything on the latch appears to be working. It’s not the cylinder, the problem is in the latch itself.
