always wanted a 42 ford coupe gasser.

id swap to a newer 2xr radiator, its skinnier and prolly more efficent.

looks like the motor could move back a lil bit right?

yes the motor still needs to move back.whats a2xr?Either going to use the 87 22r radiator or move the firewall back.

triing to fit any thing using the stock 4spd on the colum, will make it even harder.

I've seen that gasser before, cool stuff.I wonder if it had any firewall/floor mods.

2XR is placing X as a variable. refers to the 20 or 22r motors. suppose it can include the 21r as well but those arent very common.

what motor came in that truck?

    what tranny is in it?

if its a R series motor, there is a rumor that ALL R series motors share the same bellhousing pattern, ive only confirmed 18r and up.

there is also another rumor that ALL W series trannys have the same bell housing pattern, meaning that a W58 bellhousing will fit a W40 ect. or the bolt pattern for mating the bell to the tranny.

so you might get lucky and be able to bolt up your old tranny.

In regards to the w series tranny comment, the w58 and w50 have their own bellhousing patterns, the w55, w56, and w57 have like bellhousing patterns. I have been researching all of this recently.

since a 22r series is a little too big what about a 4age or even 4agze? Should be enough power for the truck......

Its somewhat more orginal, I think stuff like that looks ok on american cars... I think a static drop on a truck like that, where it is still drivable, with a clean engine swap would be better, but im boring I guess.
