Well, turns out the seat Roach found was for an automatic instead of a manual, but I'm still getting a smoking deal on a passenger door he found.

I found a seat not too far from where I live, hope to pick that up this coming week.

Haven't had a chance to do any more work due to my grandma getting admitted to the hospital. Hope to be back on this thing soon.

Picked up 10x 194 LED bulbs and 10x 74/T5 LED bulbs for the dash. Got them from Amazon for $14 shipped. Well they work great, for half of the dash anyway. Can't figure out why the right side and heater controls aren't working. I noticed the rheostat dimmer doesn't actually dim and sometimes the lights flicker and go out when messing with it, but I would think if the rheostat was bad then it would affect the entire dash evenly. I'll try a new rheostat and update when I do.

Rotate your leds polarity. Sometimes they are reversed and won't light up. It may just be one that is cutting off power to the rest.

Well that's a new one on me. Thanks for the tip. I've never seen mini bulbs that had that issue.

    Fixed :D

Looks good. I had the same issue when I installed mine.

LEDs don't work the same with our oem dimmers. But I've been thinking of tapping in after our dimmer (leaving it set to high) then adding something like this from ebay:

12V 8A DC Dimmer Switch Modulator Adjustable Controller for LED Light and Strip | eBay

Then mounting it in the oem location and even maybe gluing the oem knob over it.

Dash blackout is complete, now on to the rest of the interior.

Well, the pickup had a rear view glued to the windshield. I went to adjust the thing yesterday, and off it popped into my hand. So hit the junkyard and snagged an SR5 map light mirror, a few dash knobs, and some other junk.

The new mirror/light swap looks great!! I've been thinking on something similar for mine, I have the same as the one you replaced... every time I hit the switch the damn cover falls off!
What year sr5 is that one out of?

I pulled it out of a 92 4 Runner. On mine, the plastic housing fits too tight around the base and switches. When you push one of the switches in it sticks and won't release. I didn't have time to mess with it today. Will try to fix that soon.

FINALLY found a bench seat somewhat close. 1.5 hour drive, but at least gas is somewhat reasonable and it fit in the back seat of our 2014 Civic. LOL! The seat is near perfect with on tiny rip on driver side bottom. $50.

Came out of a 1994 2wd std cab that has been hit really hard in passenger front wheel area. Also going to buy the trans, clutch, flywheel, and driveshaft from him soon for $100, and a near mint tailgate for $75.

My trans is the G40 4 speed, the one he has in the 94 is a W55 5 speed.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Here is the tag from his 94. My 90 has a 3.07 8" rear, his 94 has the 3.42 8" rear. I'm tempted to snag the rear from his 94 while I'm there, but that kind of defeats the whole purpose of MPG for my 4 to 5 speed swap.

with my old w56 and stock rear I could get 27mpg highway. When I did the 58 swap jumped to 32mpg. I'm not sure how 3.07 gears and 5 speed would be. @70mph I turn 2200rpm in 5th

I'm hoping for something close to that, but I'm also running a carb vs. F.I. so that puts me a hair lower on the MPG scale. I'll clock my MPG several times before and after to get some good averages though.

Cleaned the seat with rubbing alcohol and blue shop towels. Sprayed it down with some Duplicolor gloss black vinyl and fabric spray. Took 1.5 cans to finish it and 1 cup of funky 7-11 coffee.

Looks almost too glossy. And not to mention "hot on da ass" in the summer. Reminds me of the time I had a Hurst T handle in my 82 2wd. I hopped in one day after it had been sitting all day and it was insane how hot it was...

I hope that paint don't come off on your clothes during the heat of the day. But then again I'm thinkin NM weather. It's just this side of hell.
