No idea on the grey box...you need the oil sending unit from a sr5 4 runner same year.

So the new test rim came in today. $115 shipped. It is a nice style, but I'm not sure if I'm feeling it more than the rims I already have. It is a very similar style/size rim to what I have now. I am going to test fit and go from there. I might have to take more time to find something nicer. I want a deeper offset I think. My problem is my current rims were originally red when I bought them about a year ago. I spray painted and clear coated them myself when they were new and unmounted. The paint job is holding up nicely, but it has imperfections and wont hold up over time. Its going to cost me $300 to get them professionally painted and for a $100 more I can basically buy new rims. If I could find my current rims in silver new I would keep what I have, but they are discontinued and impossible to find now. I never stopped looking for another set. Been thinking about some deep dish 15x10's or some Starion 16x9's but they pretty much dont exist especially as a set of 4. I dont really want to go above 16 inch (even though my choice of rim styles expands alot) These trucks stock are already slow and bigger rims just seem like its gonna slow it down more and eat MPG.

I only bought 1 wheel...I haven't tried it yet. Truck is sitting on my friends lift getting a little attention one part at a time. Not really in a rush.

It is a Stillen Front Valance. They used to make full body kits for mini trucks back in the day. They still have front valances for toyotas for sale on Amazon. There are some limited other brands out there too. The older these trucks get the less available stuff like that becomes. When mini trucks were hot, this kind of stuff was available everywhere.

Making progress slowly but surely. My friend and I haven't had free time to get much done and we were waiting on some parts as well.

On a positive note. I think we are finally heading the right direction as far as fixing the ongoing steering issue. I'm pretty certain we took care of the problem with the new steering gear box. We basically redid the whole power steering swap the previous owner did with new correct for the year parts. The gear box finally feels like its sitting flush in its stock location and its firmly in place with new OEM bolts. There was always play in the box and the knuckle from the lower steering shaft to the steering box, it sits more securely and snug than it ever did before. Everything is looking good. We also changed the power steering pump which was from an older truck (doesn't have the idle up air valve) with a year specific one that does have the idle up valve. We are also replacing the high pressure power steering line since there was some damage on the old one. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this thing drives straight now!

I also put the tire on the new rim. I will probably test fit it tomorrow. Still not feeling the new rim too much. Probably just gonna keep it as a full size spare.

I spy a set of LOCAL 16x8 starion rims 2 are -10 offset SHP and 2 are 18 offset non SHP. Probably gonna jump on them tonight or tomorrow.

Looking great bro, wish for my truck to be that clean when I'm done with it. Is that a regular double core radiator for these type truck I want to get and electric fan setup so will the 16" fan work.

Thanks bro! Its a stock replacement radiator with a slim 2800 CFM electric fan. Hooking it up with a relay to run whenever the truck is on. Its always HOT here in South Florida I have never ran a thermostat for the fan on any of my yotas. The 16" fan fits perfectly from lip to lip across the radiator like it was meant to be there. Its pretty quiet also!

I was going to change the radiator to an aftermarket polished aluminum double core, but I read some people on here having problems with multiple different brand aluminum radiators leaking. My radiator looks new and I didn't have any issues, so I decided to stick with the stock one.

Ok I think stock is better in those cases I'm gonna get one or those fans of ebay thanks for the advice though. One more thing do you know anything about the 20r head swap with 22r head was thinking about it heard it gives you more power.

No need to go all crazy with electric fans and different radiators. These truck typically run cool to begin with. All I run is a 4runner OEM radiator paired with a new Asian fan clutch and OEM thermostat. I've never had a over heating issue what so ever. Even while driving it hard with the AC on in the summertime it still stays below half mark.
