Pulling a leaf usually gets 1.5-2" drop so theres the 6". I have a little more drop out back than that, and have less than an inch of travel. And crap shocks. I "made" my own blocks, from some old broken sets because I was broke. Haven't had any issues since though. I had a 4wd shop make me ubolts similar to the 9/16 ones beefed has.

Cast aluminum blocks + high power motor = broken blocks. I've done it. A few times.

Something I have learned with these trucks is you need to be careful of over torquing the u-bolts because the u-bolt/shock plates can bend and this will make the u-bolt turn really crooked where it goes through the hole. When I did Micha's truck, someone had over torqued the u-bolts prior to me working on it, and I was wondering why the hell it was so crooked coming out of the plate, then noticed the plate was really bent. I torque them to about 55 ft lbs now because too much more can cause the plates to bend. The new Tacoma's have beefier plates and can take about 65 ft lbs. But for our mini's, 55 seems to be a good torque. (even if the u-bolts can take much more)

I've learned on the Taco's (95 and earlier shouldn't be much different) that at 4" you'll hit frame on certain bumps and if you load anything in back (like my dog, small BBQ and plastic picnic tub) you'll be hitting way more than you'll like. So at about 4" they start to become necessary.

$199 for 95 and earlier. PM me here or contact me at [email protected] and we can definitely set it up. I do the 95.5-04 Tacoma for $299 and the 2nd gen Taco for $399 because I have to make inner walls to reinforce those frames, but not the 95 & earlier. As much as I'd like to even do them cheaper, it's still a full 1 day project from start to finish. :waytogo:

Right now I have Belltech 2" drop spindles, 3" blocks, and Toxic drop shocks at all 4 corners. I have not touched my torsions or my leafs.
