thanks. truck is fairly healthy. truck has a welded rear, and 3:07 gearing mated to the later 5 speed trans out of a 94. gearing is real high.

so you have less acceleration but more top speed???????

 

basically thats his situation. each gear revs out at a higher mph. most 5 speed trucks have 4.10s or so. 4 speeds have about 3.07s or so. maybe his started as a 4 speed. i dont remember. but looks like it gets around easy. i didnt listen to it though. maybe later when im not at the mall. haha.
