Thanks man, I appreciate it. At some point this thing will replace my Audi as a daily for a little while. But until then I think I am trading some stuff for a VW Golf MK2. Lol.

    Here is the finished exhaust.

yea....... i cant believe how some people choose to drive with that kind of exhaust runout. im pretty impressed how well you ran everything through there. probably looked allot more crowded in the picture than it appears in real life but thats still very clean and well done. im kinda picky about a vehicles sound and harmonics as well, so i understand where yer coming from.

i like the trumpet/velocity style tip you made for it........ nice touch :waytogo:

so....... old school euro tuner eh?

been thinking of getting myself something of that nature as of late...... more so something in the way of a vw rabbit/caddy pickup

make sure to let us in on your new project should or when you get in it. :waytogo:

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I'm definitely picky about my exhaust. I hope it rubs off onto others at some point. I love having full exhaust. And I like the trumpet tip, I did it on a Mini Cooper with w Vtec swap a few weeks back and really dig it. Will be doing more of that.

I will post a picture of the Golf today. I am doing some work on a VW Caddy Pickup in trade for it. I'm pretty stoked. Its a super clean Diesel with 100K original miles, he got from his uncle who was the original owner.

wow..... what a score. those things are pretty sweet. id take one even if it was not so clean...... hell 50mpg aint bad these days... know what i mean? :D

just add a little boost for it to get up and boogie a little quicker and they are pretty darn fun. i would almost scrap my v8 yota project to get into a caddy pickup......... almost*

    :headbang:

now correct me if im wrong on this....... the golf was a 4 door and the rabbit was the 2 door right? or was the name more of a trim package??

like how its already half way customized.... :waytogo:

Ya it already has coil overs and P-slots. Has a lot of maintenance done, and a newer motor.

Golf is the model of the car, the came as 2 and 4 door. GL, GTI, etc, are the trim packages available. The MK1 was the Rabbit line, and there where different models. Like the Rabbit Pickup you like. The Golf is MK2. Basically the same thing, they just changed the name.

i really dug your last truck. so much in fact that had i known it was for sale and that you were in the bay area, i would have been 1st in line to purchase it. that thing was sick. at least i got to see it in person at the last (sadly) drop zone. your new ride though is every bit as sick as the last one and i hope to see it when its done... maybe i'll finish mine with the quickness and make a trip to see my girl just to come check it out.

The P-slot refers to the wheels. See the little P's around them. Made by Pirelli I think, they are pretty rare, especially with center caps. I would polish the crap outta those things!

What size pipe did you use for the exhaust?? I'm really hoping I can manage to get 2.5-3" under mine...

    Thanks guys, I appreciate it!

Spanks, I use 2.25". Wouldn't be hard to fit 2.5" on each side, 3" I doubt would fit.

SD YOTA, I'm not that familiar with the VW stuff either, I'm just learning as I go. But I like it, I just tend to learn through customer stuff honestly. And yes the wheels are P-Slots, as said above they are made by Pirelli, and pretty rare. IDK if they are worth anything, but they are hard to find. I'm not that into them, honestly I really want to find some old Porsche wheels and run them.

I like this look too with air cooled wheels.

I really like the look of that 4 door. Either wheel would need an adapter.

I like your projects, I had an old Golf cart like that with a 1.8 head on a 2.0 block and LSD trans. That car would never die, had 350K when I sold it and still ran like a top.

Are you running individual air lines to each bag or are these 'T'd together?

Problem is I think with a blower I need 3" or I could be wrong... Haven't researched that far.

The truck is just T'd on schraeder valves right now. Have 8 valves.

And spanks I really can't answer every question about your build. You have to do some research on your own.

Been cleaning the shop thoroughly. In an effort to make some room, the bed is back on. Love the way the tip came out.
