im gonna play around with a couple more sizes. 185/60 seems like the ideal tire size i wanna run on that wheel size.... something like this.

the 195/50 series seems a little too blocky for me.... thats why im staying in the 60 series.....

its coming out nice.... i am pulling them by hand. like i mentioned, im pulling them by hand...... no hammers etc..... just flexing it out to the natural bend of the metals elasticity. :waytogo:

I remember on mine there were 2 small brackets on each bedside with 2 holes on each one. I took off both bolts holding them and pulled em a bit to where the 2nd holes lined up and it popped the flare out about an inch. Has anyone else seen them on theyre bedsides?

yea, its a bit easier on the sheet metal. thats the way ive been doing my flaring techniques as of late. massage the metal...... not beating it to hell.

i like it too. chances are its what ill end up with.

so what if its not? just get to it and play with em anyways.... what you got to lose.

i usually am..... i dont curb my wheels........... hhmm...... maybe i should do some old school curb feelers too

yes. there was, along with a few other attached areas like the gas filler neck bracket, rear lower quarter panel bracket, and splash panel. took all those off. still...... the bedside has allot of rigidity in it for being 1 piece..... still working on it. ill probably also flatten over the edge as i go along.

Damn that is a lot of stretch. Are you into the stretched "hella-flush" Euro type look? My friend and I played with that look on my car with some staggered 20s, the rear would need a huge stretch.

allot of stretch as in the tires? or the fenders?

i dunno...... ive seen a few guam and hawaii truck builds and allot of them accent the stretched look on their wheels and tires. kinda wanna do the same with my truck in a sense.

i really would like to do a set of 15x10 wide wheels but the offset is hard to find in order to tuck them in far enough to clear. however if i do find them, i will try my best to fit em

I meant on the tire, the picture you showed first on this page looks crazy. I am always afraid they will break the seal on the bead, with the way I drive.

yea....... i realize its on the extreme side of stretching but i also realize my truck wont be a formula kart racer either....... just a straight line rocket

thing is..... i feel more comfortable stretching a bigger sidewall tire 50 series and up than anything in a 45 series or less....

Ya I would have been stretching like a 30 series tire. I've seen video of my tires that are wider than my wheel during some of my driving. It looks like the bead is going to pull. Lol. I drove a customers car with stretched 30 series, I was super nervous.

lol you don't drive hard on stretched tires. The only thing you can really do on stretch tires is look good or drift (stiffer sidewall equals breaking traction in the rear more easily).

I'd be super nervous to drive hard to stretched tires too. If it's a "SLIGHT" stretch, like barely any, I wouldn't mind.
