What's special about the winged window doors that allows you to mount speakers that wouldn't be able to in the regular windows?

 

The windows aren't as wide as the one piece glass. I'm guessing this gives him the room he needs to mount his speakers.

 

Yeah, you can fit a bigger speaker without having a spacer.

 

With the solid window, the track gets in the way of the speakers. With the vented, there's more space for speakers without spacers because the track's next to the speakers instead of behind.

Got clear corners put in and 3 inch blocks in the rear. Camera on my blackberry broke so I'm gonna give my mom a digital camera for mother's day so I can take pictures of my truck! Lol.

Building up the shine

I went to the junkyard last weekend and picked up a valve cover and JDM oil cap. Sent it off to be sandblasted and powdercoated. This is what I got back.

I also bought the aircleaner setup and am going to be powdercoating that as well. Any suggestions on colors? I plan on painting the one in the truck now and putting it for sale anyone interested in a sweet valve cover?

Hey, tehsk... are you thinking of doing the two-tone I suggested? The Hemi Orange and Black 'Cuda stripes w/ 22R on the rear quarter panel? I'm pretty good at drawing and a rookie at photoshop, but I can probably send a rough sketch or JPEG your way if you want to consider it.

Honestly, that would be very cool, but I think I'm going to end up selling this truck. At this point, I want a first gen pickup or fuel injection on 85-88. I'm just using it as a daily driver, doing low cost mods until I find the right yota to really customize.

With that being said. I'm going to end up painting it something tasteful so like Black or White.
