so just a few minor updates done to the truck since.... some new clear front corners, half red/clears out back though they'll likely be replaced with some full clears here soon. also had to get some new threads and replaced my tires with some 185/60/14's all the way around.

185/60/14s...that's how you lowered it. I kept wondering lol. How's the traction with those?

Gotta cut the tabs that hold them together at their seam. I test fitted the same thing years ago and it looked like it would work.

But what keeps it from fitting loosely at the light/grille joint?

 i got 4" of drop alone with the tires going from 205/75 to a 185/60

traction is actually nice... you'd be surprised. ive tossed it around a corner, and although i wont ever do it again until i get the 1 ton sway bar under there, a rear sway bar, and some nice higher pressure shocks, they stick the truck ok... ill never get a decent launch out of a dig with the furious 3.0 flogging them but im happy with the ride and grip otherwise.

i would start off with a decent notch, some 4" blocks, 3" drop leafs, or the middle leaf pull and relaxing the bind on the rear bushings, up front, some drop shocks, b/j flip, rekey the torsions and you'll be pretty dumped. smaller tires like the ones i got will help get you low as well... seeing you have the stock steelies, you may wanna run the same size tires i have...

haha... i used the force.

j/k. i took some modification to the end of the grill, removing the two snap in prongs on the end of the 2wd markers, new fasteners at the end of the fenders where the 2 screws hold the light in place to hold em. ill try and get a closer shot of the fitment but from a couple feet away, you cant tell the front grill and lights stick out a 1/2". :D

so quick update... got some money n time finally to liven things up on the exhaust side of things and got my blast pipes done with a magnaflow 18" canister. while i was down there i lifted my exhaust too so i wouldnt have to blow through my cat.

considering i used 2.5" tubing, clearances between the axle and upper gas tank xmember were a little too tight for the exhaust to clear decently, so i ran a axle under exhaust setup with a flange setup for removing the rear pipes in case of axle/suspension service/removal.

pipes extend just a little over 12" from the tailgate.

Does the tailgate clear the new exhaust? Looks close. I dig it though, I've seen lots of stuff with that style and always like it. I like how you put a 3 bolt flange to take it off if need be. The thik slid copper header gaskets work the best of any I've found. Even seals my effed up old header flange I've dragged across three states
