rear porprotioning valve

    still not sure on what to do.. should i just T it off and be done with it or should i try and move the stock one

    :shrug:Strange. Both my '79 4x4 and my '89 2wd came with one.

    At any rate, I think that possibly the best solution would be to eliminate the stock LSPV and replace it with an adjustable proportioning valve.

    I think the Wilwood proportioning valve they used in the article would be a great choice but there are also a variety of other models out there.

    im just on a budget right now and cant afford one

    Then just t it off. I really don't think it is an immediate safety concern since you are not planning to haul much with it. A t is pretty cheap. Then again, bending the rod to reshape it is free, if you want to go super lo-buck, that might a way. At some point down the road when you have a few extra bucks spend the $40 and get a proportioning valve so you can really dial it in. I think the proper way to do it would probably be to add a manual proportioning valve.

    You got me there. I mean I don't know what thread pitch it is. I would try to take the LSPV with you to the hardware store so you can find a t that matches up. Make sure you get the kind with straight threads, not a pipe thread! You want it to seal on the flare, not on the threads.
