Hey nook I got my quick release from nrg its a great addition I love it. I wana get the short hub I have the 2.0 and I love the lock. But I want the slim cuz I'm little far from the blinked controls.

:waytogo: I liked the NRG units, I originally wanted to use the gen2 or gen2.5, but the thickness put the wheel out too far for my liking, thats why I went with the Tekniq, its only about an inch thick and easy to operate.
Worst thing about having it though, is I go out to go somewhere then have to run back in the house to find the steering wheel :duh:

I used "universal" quick release hubs from speedwaymotors.com. The first one was hex the second was splined. Both are nice units and work as they are supposed to. I welded the hex/splines on backwards so the release hub goes on the outside of the steering wheel rather than the inside. That way my 5" dish steering wheel ends up being 4 1/2" away from the blinker switch just like the factory wheel. :D

Much easier to pull the wheel when the button is right there in front of you. :D Bonus for 3rd gen is the blinker cancel cam will line right up with the head of a 1/4-20 allen bolt so if you space the hub right when you weld it on you will still have an easy way to make the blinker cancel like stock. :D

Haha yea unless I am home or work I tuck the steering wheel behind the passenger seat. But I love it soo much I'm going to get the thin one and slap this one in the bag truck I'm going to build because I'm going to do a bare interior so it will look good.
