for the window, if i recall correctly, they gotta install another back wall that the window will slide into. it gets a lil pricy too
oh yeah i realized most of my question were on here, c94 had the same ideas as me and i stumbled across this thread after i bought my stuff, i guess great minds think alike
haha well i the whole deal with the front end isnt bad at all i think i may have this at laid out who all is goin im stayin at the ramada inn
ok so i have a question im really wanting to cut the bed out and re do it should i do something similar or just get rid of the bed completely and just cap the bed off?
that bed looks pretty clean, i would sell the whole thing to someone who doesn't have the skills to build one, and start fresh on another bed.
grub the guy that i got to just register has one but the rear end on it is completly shaved and i wanna keep my caddies but you think it would be easier to build a new one than to cut that out and start over? the bed floor is kinda rough the filler is cracking back out there are dents in it the nasty rhino liner in it is peeling off
dang........ point out all the imperfections i guess it probably wouldn't be to bad to just cut out the inner sheetmetal and start over. i've done a few sets of caddies, there not hard but time consuming.
Now that is rust! I personally would stick with my current bed, but it is your choice because it's your truck. Too bad you can't retro-fit Tundra roll downs.
hahha well imperfections aggravate me ...... bad so its either work with the metal in the bed that i have to straighten the warped panels or just get a different bed all together and the bed i have is perfect body wise no dents dings just inside the bed that bugs the **** out of me
if u dont like the current one, idk how much itll cost, but cut out the inside of the other oner and lay new sheet metal
so i got wood.... lol for the bed and we started cutting up the bed on monday i cant wait does anyone know where i can get a billet steering wheel for cheap if someone has a used one il buy it depending what it looks like.
Thought about that also.If you do it take the whole rear section with window channels & all & lay into the rear, lining up body lines. Will be some work but should be doable! Don't forget to get all the relays & switches from the doctor truck!
yea thats a ton of work and for this truck to be debuted at scrapefest il just stick with my ragtop lol if anyone has seen the new minitruckin look at the cover truck iv done the fenders and bed like the toyota on the cover. i think it looks pretty damn good i hate looking at the ugly firewall of these trucks when they are layed out.
does anyone make a chrome intake manifold or do i have to take it and get it chromed? im trying to dress up my engine bay and if someone could point me in the right direction on some chrome/ billet parts it would be awsome
no he custom made small inner fenders that was molded into the fenders that just covered the part of the firewall that you see when the truck is layed out
yea he made splash shields that were part of the fenders but the didnt go all the way into the fender
